The Tsar washed the wound and bandaged it with his handkerchief and the hermit’s towel. He had to wash the wound several times to stop bleeding. Ans – These words are spoken by the hermit and he said this to the Tsar, who wanted to know about the answers of his questions before his departure from the hermit’s cottage.
✍ The Tsar was surprised to listen to the hermit’s words as the hermit did not give him any answer till then. The hermit then analysed the incidents that the Tsar faced after coming into the cottage of the hermit. He told about the Tsar’s sympathy for him and his daylong digging of the land to relieve his sufferings. Then he pointed out Tsar’s nursing of the wounded man. (৪) What were the questions that troubled the Tsar ? What did he do to get the answers to the questions ? 3+3
